The ‘Crazy Chefs’ Cookery Group meets every Monday to prepare, cook and eat, a healthy two-course meal together. The group have fun with their friends whilst learning a broad range of basic cookery skills and all about the importance of healthy eating.
Many of the ‘Crazy Chefs’ have additional health difficulties such as diabetes, angina, asthma, epilepsy and weight related health problems, so the recipes used are adapted to the health needs of the group. ‘Crazy Chefs’ has also helped people with learning disabilities to gain the skills and confidence needed to move on to voluntary jobs in the local area.
